Start nurturing your business for sale now!


It takes years of planning and implementation of those plans to get your business ready for sale. So it’s never too early to start. Ideally, you should think about developing the business for sale the moment you started trading but, if you didn’t, then just as it’s never too early to start – it’s never too late, either.

And you should think about who you’re developing the business for – what type of buyer do you have in mind? In theory, you could build a business that you knew would appeal to them – in much the same way that you might decorate your house and design your garden to appeal to a particular type of purchaser.
